Sophie Tamiko Oda (born October 23, 1991)[1] is an American actress.

Oda, a Japanese American[1], was born in San Francisco, California[2]. She is also a professional singer and performs frequently in concerts and benefits.[3] Some of her performances include the Japanese American Hall of Fame, TheatreWorks 35th Anniversary, Asian Americans on Broadway,[4] Multi-Media Musicals, East West Players Anniversary, MADD, Bay Area Kid Fest[3]. She is a featured singer on the CD, Kabaret for Kids.[5][3]
Oda has been performing in professional theatre since the age of six. Shows include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,[6] the World Premiere of A Little Princess,[7] the West Coast Premiere of Jane Eyre,the Musical, The Sound of Music, Pacific Overtures, Annie, The Joy Luck Club, A Midsummer Night's Dream, South Pacific, The King and I, and more[3].
Oda has completed high school and is now in college at UC Irvine[3].
Oda had a recurring role in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody[2] as Barbara Brownstein appearing in Benchwarmers, A Tale of Two Houses, Romancing The Phone, Orchestra, Rock Star in the House, Neither a Borrower Nor a Speller Bee, Ask Zack, Club Twin, Graduation and Miniature Golf[3]. She appeared in two movies: Bee Season[2] and Kung Phooey[2]. Sophie has been a singer on Star Search[3]. She has been a guest star in the latest sitcom, The Suite Life On Deck[2], with her recurring role as Barbara[3]. Sophie is starring in a comedy web series called Spaz Fu.[8] Her Suite Life character Barbara Brownstein has been in a relationship with other Suite Life recurring star Bob as revealed in Suite Life on Deck episode Flowers and Chocolate, even though in the original series she was girlfriend to main star Cody Martin[3]. In Flowers and Chocolate it is revealed that Barbara and Bob started dating in The Suite Life Sets Sail, the first episode of the spin-off and the day Zack and Cody left[3].
